students are there at KU? |
|
We estimate that there are approximately 1,500 Jewish students
enrolled at the University of Kansas.

Hillel provide for students on holidays? |
|
Partner with Lawrence Jewish Community Center for High Holiday
services, organized break the fast parties for Yom Kippur, a sukkah,
Chanukah parties, Purim programs, a place to go for Passover seders,

| What does
Hillel do for Shabbat? |
|
KU Hillel holds weekly Shabbat services. Often times they feature
creative themes, such as Cuban shabbat, pajama shabbat, camp style
shabbat. Additionally, there is one large Shabbat gathering each
month. You will also find monthly themed Havdalah programs. For

| What are the
Hillel House hours? |
|
The Hillel staff is in the office during normal daytime business
hours. Additionally students staff the house to keep it open until
10 pm for study, meetings, gatherings, or just to hang out.

| How do you
communicate with Jewish students on campus? |
There is a weekly e-mail newsletter highlighting upcoming Hillel
events. To have your email address added to this list, enter your
name in the box in the middle of the main
page. Also, keep an eye out for Hillel flyers around campus,
Hillel tables on Wescoe Beach or in your residence hall, and ads
in the University Daily Kansan.

of programs are available at Hillel? |
Hillel programs include community service projects, holiday programs,
Israel advocacy as well as programs dealing with Israeli culture,
freshman only programming, just plain social events, and MUCH MUCH
