Originally called Shabbat 150, named for bringing 150 people together for a Shabbat dinner, Rock Chalk Shabbat, in it’s 15th year, has greatly transformed and expanded. With over 500 people expected to attend, Rock Chalk Shabbat has truly become the centerpiece program of the year.
From services to serving food to speeches, the evening is entirely led and executed by more than 100 KU Hillel student leaders. This year, Rock Chalk Shabbat will take place on Friday, November 11th and will begin at 6 pm in the Kansas Union. The chairs for this year’s event are KU Hillel Board Members Arlene Kaseff and Stephanie Kavanaugh.
