Three KU seniors: Jessica Joffe, Dan Lear and Alex Null began planning the event earlier in the semester by inviting business professionals to KU Hillel to lead the session. Throughout the evening, Kansas City professionals: Mark Bohen, Eric Kaseff, Michael Novicoff, and Scott Samuels helped students practice different interviewing styles and techniques while providing additional tips and tricks to successfully land an internship or job.
“The best part of the event was seeing students take notes, ask specific questions, and react to the responses from their questions,” said Null, KU Hillel’s Leadership Development Intern. “I think a lot of growth took place and my hope is that this type of programming continues in the future.”
Null continued to say that the professionals “encouraged students to reach out to them; tap into their resources and network, network, network.”
Overall, the night was a success. Students gained a better understanding of how to approach interviews, while the professionals gained insight into prospective new hires.
