Mackenzie Litt, originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, recently graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in applied behavioral science. Litt was very involved in Hillel throughout her four years of college. She went on Taglit-birthright with Hillel during her freshmen year of college and returned one year later on Hillel’s Israel Leadership Mission. Litt also held numerous leadership positions as a program committee member and intern. During her final semester of school, she served as a part-time staff member at Hillel working as a development associate.
“At first being a part of KU Hillel was just an excuse for me to be a part of a Jewish community. Looking back, I realize how KU Hillel has truly shaped me into the young adult I’ve become both Jewishly and not,” says Litt. “I’ve acquired new skills and sharpened old ones that have made me feel confident and ready to take on a full-time position,” she adds.
Litt is now working in Kansas City at Metro Title Services, a company owned by brothers Eric and Barry Kaseff. In her position, Litt will work closely with the owners focusing on client relations, customer service issues, office organization, and employee engagement. Eric Kaseff is the immediate past president of the KU Hillel Board of Directors and Litt met both brothers through her involvement at Hillel.
“If somebody were to ask me a year ago about my plans after graduation, my answer would have started and ended with living and working in Minneapolis. While I know that I will miss my family and friends, I am thrilled to be in Kansas City and I have KU Hillel and its staff to thank for that!” says Litt.
