Students met on Saturday morning at KU Hillel for a Shabbat brunch and to kick off the day with a variety of icebreakers to allow the interns a chance to get to know their peers better. Everyone then headed over to Tall Oaks to participate in a ropes course. Students were strategically divided up in groups with people they had not previously spent time with to allow them to get to know one another better.
“The retreat was an excellent experience,” said Dan Lear, KU senior from Plymouth, MN. “The ropes course was very beneficial because I got to work towards a common goal with my fellow interns and it really showed what we are capable of for the year ahead.”
