“I'm looking forward to graduation brunch because Hillel is an organization that has made a major impact in my four years at KU and it is a chance to show my parents all that Hillel has given me,” senior Sarah Herman said.
Hillel will provide a full array of traditional brunch foods and there will be a formal ceremony led by KU Hillel Rabbi Neal Schuster and Executive Director Jay Lewis to honor the seniors and their memories at Hillel throughout their time at KU. The staff will also celebrate the work the senior class has contributed to make Hillel a stronger organization.
“I started working at Hillel the same year that this year’s seniors started their freshmen year at KU. While it is sad to say goodbye to each year’s graduating class, this one holds a special place in my heart. They are an incredible group of individuals and I am so grateful to have shared the last four years with them. I know that these students leaders are bound to do amazing things in the future,” said KU Hillel Program Director Melissa Kingston.
“I am glad that Hillel hosts a brunch, not only because it is the best meal of the day, but because it's a nice event that I can take my entire family to so that they can experience Hillel with me,” Herman said.
