“It was sad to say goodbye to this year’s graduating class. They have impacted KU Hillel so much and have helped KU remain as an amazing place for Jewish students,” says KU Hillel’s Engagement Associate Tori Luecking. “Now that summer has arrived, however, we are already hard at work planning programs for our future leaders, Luecking continues.
Recent graduate and KU Hillel intern Dani Malakoff shows younger sister and incoming freshmen Sarah around KU’s campus. | KU Hillel will host a Freshmen Kick-Off Event on Sunday, August 20th before classes start on campus for new students to meet the Hillel staff, their fellow freshmen and to learn more about upcoming Hillel programs. KU Hillel will also be tabling during Union Fest and Hawk Week and will have freshmen specific programming planned all the way through the High Holidays. Luecking oversees a group of student interns whose primary focus is to engage freshmen and to help make their college transition as smooth as possible.
