Student leaders gathered at KU Hillel on Wednesday, February 1st to meet with Ilan Sinelnikov, the founder of Students Supporting Israel (SSI). Sinelnikov started SSI at the University of Minnesota in 2012. The organization is a rapidly growing Pro-Israel campus movement that supports the State of Israel. Currently, there are more than 50 chapters across the United States and Canada.
“I am so glad Katie informed me about this meeting. It was a great experience meeting with Ilan. I think there is a lot of potential for SSI at KU and I’m excited to see where it goes,” says sophomore Margo Hellman.
KU Hillel works closely with SSI and Jayhawks for Israel throughout the year to plan Israel educational programs. Numerous organizations will also collaborate to put on an Israel Week this coming April.
